Overview

McIvor Construction Management completed a comprehensive renovation and conversion project on Weston Road, transforming an outdated and unused pool area into modern, functional amenity spaces for residents. The former pool, which had been out of service since the pandemic, was reimagined as a vibrant fitness and community hub featuring new wellness and meeting facilities.

The result is a refreshed, multi-purpose environment that improves both the livability and long-term value of the property.

From Pool to Functional Living Space

A key component of the project involved decommissioning the old pool and completing a concrete infill of the existing shell to create a stable foundation for the new layout. This allowed the team to fully repurpose the footprint into usable interior space.

The renovation included a new fitness centre, bathrooms, change rooms, meeting rooms, and connecting corridors, all designed to better serve the day-to-day needs of residents.

Complete Interior and Systems Upgrade

Following a full interior gut, all finishes and building systems were replaced. New windows were installed to improve natural light and energy performance, while updated mechanical and electrical systems ensured reliable comfort and functionality throughout the space.

Durable, modern finishes were selected to withstand heavy use while delivering a clean, contemporary aesthetic.

Resident Comfort and Safety First

All work took place within an occupied residential building, requiring careful scheduling and ongoing coordination to maintain safety and minimize disruption.
