Overview

McIvor Construction Management completed a comprehensive interior renovation at a retirement residence in Don Mills, modernizing corridors, common areas, and amenity spaces throughout the building. The goal was to refresh the environment with updated finishes and improved functionality while maintaining a safe and comfortable setting for residents.

This large-scale upgrade enhanced both the daily living experience and the long-term value of the property, creating brighter, more contemporary spaces designed to serve residents for years to come.

Full-Facility Interior Renewal

The project involved renovating every corridor, main area, and shared amenity space within the residence. Outdated finishes were removed and replaced with modern, durable materials selected to withstand heavy daily use while providing a warm and welcoming aesthetic.

Each space was carefully planned to improve flow, accessibility, and overall comfort for residents and staff.

Working in an Active Residential Environment

All construction activities took place within a fully occupied retirement home. Maintaining resident safety, comfort, and clear access was a top priority throughout the project.

Daily communication with residents and building management was imperative to successful delivery. Scheduling, noise control, and phased work plans were coordinated closely to minimize disruption and maintain normal operations.

Delivered with Care and Precision

Through proactive planning and disciplined site management, McIvor CM executed the work efficiently while maintaining a respectful environment for occupants. The result is a refreshed, modern interior that supports both functionality and quality of life.

The project was completed on time and on budget, meeting the expectations of all stakeholders.
