Overview

McIvor Construction Management completed a full entry lobby renovation on Inverhouse, modernizing the building’s primary access point and enhancing both functionality and curb appeal. The project refreshed the main entrance with updated finishes and improved accessibility, creating a more welcoming and efficient experience for residents and visitors.

Careful planning and coordination ensured the upgraded space met the expectations of both building management and the board of directors.

Modernizing the Main Entrance

The scope included a complete renovation of the existing lobby, introducing new finishes and design elements that elevated the overall look and feel of the space. A new automatic sliding door system was installed at the front entry to improve accessibility, traffic flow, and day-to-day convenience for residents.

These upgrades modernized the building’s first impression while improving durability and long-term performance.

Working Within an Occupied Building

As the main entry point to the building, the lobby closure required detailed logistical planning and constant communication. Temporary access routes were established to maintain safe and convenient entry for residents throughout construction.

Working hours, noise control, and daily activities were carefully managed to minimize disruption, with regular updates provided to both residents and the board of directors.

Coordinated and Controlled Delivery

Through proactive scheduling, tight trade coordination, and consistent stakeholder communication, McIvor CM maintained momentum despite the constraints of working in a fully occupied environment.

The project was delivered efficiently, providing a refreshed, modern entrance that enhances both usability and the overall value of the property.
